ARRIVAL- DIRECTIONS & PARKING

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes before your shift so we can get you checked in and oriented with the event.
  • !!IMPORTANT!! If you ARRIVE BEFORE 7AM you may park in the staff lot by using the VENDOR GATE off Alameda and Balloon Museum Drive.  This lot is located just south of the event site, behind the building. (Google Map).
  • If you ARRIVE AFTER 7AM or plan to leave before the event is over (3PM) you will be directed to the attendee parking lot and must walk to the field from there. 
  • Parking is free.

STAFF CHECK-IN 

  • Check-in at the “STAFF LOUNGE TENT” located south of the building (labeled on the maps below).
  • Do not leave any valuables in the break room. Lock them in your car.  
  • You will check in each day you work by signing your name and time of your arrival. You will receive a staff badge.
  • Groups will gather according to their position and lead to your location by the team leader.

DRESS CODE

  • Please dress for comfort and weather. We anticipate hot weather. 
  • Tops: Solid color T-Shirt. 
  • Bottoms: Anything is fine as long as they are at a “family-friendly” length.
  • Please bring umbrellas, hats to help with sun, especially for crowd control and parking lot attendants.
  • Most positions will be under tents. 
  • Parking Team– bring comfortable shoes, hats, umbrellas, water bottles. 

REFRESHMENTS 

  • Snack items and water will be provided.
  • Since we are not able to accommodate all dietary restrictions, please feel free to bring your own lunch/snacks if you prefer. 

PAYMENTS 

  • Individuals will be paid by check immediately after your shift.
  • Organizations will be mailed a check.

    If any changes are necessary or if you need to cancel or be reassigned, please contact me.  Don’t forget sunglasses, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and comfortable walking shoes!
